9th Grade

Hi my name is Raphael Dexter. I am 16 years old. I am currently in the 9th grade. My Pre-Katrina School was L.B. Landry High School. My project field is woodworking. I like Music, Food, Clothes & the Color Blue. My plans after high school is to attend Jackson State University. This experience is a way to stay out of trouble and a change in my life.

My name is Mahogany Lewis. I am 14 years old. I am in the 9th grade. My Pre-Katrina School is Signature High School. My project field is media. I like basketballs, softball, dancing & cheering.

I dislike mess. My extracurricular activities include Outdoor Club. My plans after high school is Louisiana State University. I am looking forward to winning the competition.

Hello my name is Will Powell. I am 15 years old. I am in the 9th grade. My Pre-Katrina School was NOCCA Academy. My project fields are Media & LEGO league. I like fun, focusing, and work. My dislikes occupies too much fun. My extracurricular activities include Piano, Free styling, Kickboxing, Playing Games, and Rap Music. My plans after high school are to possibly be a minister of music. What I am Looking to get out of this experience is valuable & useful information. I also love to rap and freestyle.Also I love my girlfriend Donnanice. I Love rap music of all types. I like to kick box and dance. I Love piano. I'd like to have his own choir, and make beats for rappers.

Derek Rankins is my name. I am 14 years old. In the 9th grade my Pre-Katrina School was Gilbert Academy. My project fields include management and media. I like Poetry and Old Music. I dislike mess and stress. My extracurricular activity is Student Council. Plans after High School are Loyola College for music, work as a music teacher, business owner & priest. I am getting out of this experience learning about Robots.

Hi my name is Sol Winer and I am 15 in the 9th grade.  Before Katina I was homeschooled and went to NOCSM.  My project fields are building and programming.  I like friends and the color green,and dislike bullys.  Other than robotics, I am involved in music.  After high school I plan on attending FSU.  I am looking forward to learning about electronics.

My name is Wayne Brunious and I am 15 in the 10th grade. Before Hurricane Katrina I went to Eleanor McMain Magnet. My project field is media. I like to watch TV and talking on the phone and I don’t like peple who don't have a New Orleans accent. Other than robotics I am involved in the student council. I plan to go to The Georgia Institute of Technology after high school.                                                                                                 

Hi my name is Jaleesa Celestine and I am 16 in the 10th grade.  Before Katrina I went to New Tech High School.  I do a little bit of everything.  I like building and repairing computers.  I dislike uneducated and ungrateful people.  I am trying to get my licence to become a certified computer technician.  I plan on recieving my PHD in computer engineering.  I look forward to gaining knowledge and intelligent friends.

Other than robotics I am involved in dancing and singing. After high school I plan on going to go to college. I am looking forward to being a team sport.

My name is Marylynn Hebert and I am 16 in the 10th grade. Before Hurricane Katrina I was home-schooled. My project field is media. I like talking on the phone and don’t like loud people. After high school I plan on going to the University of Houston. I am looking forward to learning about learning about technology.

My name is Christen Lawrence and I am 15 in the 10th grade. Before Hurricane Katrina I went to Warren Easton Fundamental Magnet and NOCSM. My project field is media. I like Omarion, arts & crafts and shopping at Claire’s; I don’t like dogs, nerds and people who think they know too much. Other than robotics I am in involved in Dillard University Upward Bound program. After high school I plan on going to go to college to become a nurse. I am looking forward to a good experience and maybe a scholarship.

Besides robotics I am involved in cheerleading, dancing, and cooking. After high school I plan on going to Florida A&M and being a computer engineering

My name is Dominique Ordon and I am 16 in the 10th grade. Before Hurricane Katrina I went to Alfred Lawless High. I like going to the movies and going shopping. I don’t like people forging hours. After high school I plan on going to Delgado or Southern.

Hi, my name is Marquita Reynolds and I am 15 in the 10th grade.  Before Hurricane Katrina I went to Edna Karr Magnet and NOCSM.  I do most of everything with the robot.  I like modeling, working, golf, swimming, and all other sports.  I don't like idolness and mess.  I also do cheerleading and swimming.  After high school I plan on attending Loyola for law.  I am lokking forward to having fun and getting an education.  I am self employed, and own a cleaning service called Maid-2-Order.  I enjoy challenging math equations and "Fashion Week" in New York.  I hate doing nothing, I belive ther is no such thing as being bored.  I am a firm believer in peace & love.  I want to be a reconstructive surgeon specializing in rinplasity.

Hi, my name is Brian Hardy and I am 17 in the 11th grade. Before Hurricane Katrina I went to NOCSM High School. My project fields are programming, building, and driving. I like mentors and robots, my dislikes are people messing around. My plans after high school are to attend Tulane University to study mechanical engineering. What I am looking fordward to getting out of this is to learn all I can about robotics.

My project fields are lego league and robot mechanics. My likes are doing homework, listening, and working, my dislikes are running and talking on the phone. My extracurricular activity is Xavier Upward Bound. My plans after highschool is to attend Xavier, Tulane, or Yale. Hi, my name is Antira Matlock and I'm 16 in the 11th. My schools before Hurricane Katrina were Elenor McMain Magnet and NOCSM High School. My project field is robot mechanics. The only thing I could possibly say I like is music, my dislike is posers. My plans after high school is to attend CSULA studing for mechanical ingeering. Mentors

Hi my name is Victor Brown and I am one of the mentors for the robotics club.  I am 60 years old and I went to Withernsea High in London, England.  I go camping and backpacking, in my spare time.  I am an engineer at Lockheed Martin's NASA facility in New Orleans East.  I work, currently, in the Advanced Programs group, on proposition systems for hyprid launch vehicles (rockets).
